Dry, tight, cracked hands are so uncomfortable — and they take your nails down with them. I'm Angely, and whenever a client tells me their hands feel like sandpaper, I share this simple routine that turns things around quickly.
Wash kindly
Hot water and harsh soaps strip your skin. Use lukewarm water and a gentle, moisturizing hand wash, and pat — don't rub — your hands dry.
Moisturize at the right moment
The trick is timing: apply hand cream while your skin is still slightly damp to lock in moisture. Keep a tube by every sink and in your bag so it's effortless.
Don't forget your nails
- Massage cuticle oil into each nail and the surrounding skin.
- Work hand cream right down to your fingertips.
- For very dry hands, do an overnight treatment: thick cream plus cotton gloves while you sleep.
Protect throughout the day
Wear gloves for dishes, cleaning, and cold weather. These everyday exposures are usually the real reason hands stay dry no matter how much cream you use.
Be consistent
Hydration isn't a one-time fix — it's a rhythm. Within a week of moisturizing morning, night, and after every wash, you'll feel a real difference. Soft hands and healthy nails always come as a pair.
Treat your hands tenderly, especially through dry seasons, and they'll feel comfortable and look beautiful again. You touch the whole world with these hands — they're worth the care.
